My life, a quicksand
The more I struggled, the more I sank
Tiny strand of hope losing its strength
Every single day,
Stepping out with a facade
But in between those closed doors
Is a lost soul yearning for tranquillity
Wanting to be free from this bondage

Those internal horrors never parted ways with me
Inner voices kept torturing my soul
If I don’t reply “I’m fine”
How do I explain the battles of my ferocious demons within?
Or that it has eaten deep right to my heart?
When my wails of rescue are silent
And my screams for freedom
are internal with empty words
No, I rather not
Let me wallow in my anguish
More like walking in the shadow of death

However, this dreadful soul deserves a last chance
So Tonight
Determined to escape this grey space
I’m on the quest for peace
Uncertain of the means or location
But maybe my shouts will get out this time
“Oh, Save me!”
“Please, Save me!!”
