Olatunji Mojisola Esther – “The War Within”
The valley of my thoughts is deeper
Than I can imagine ever
I have two skins on my face:
The one beneath and the one on the surface
I’m a dead man, soaked in my own laughter
Laughter that kills me daily
I love people, smile with them
but these two gifts are not in my abode
I’m a loser that’s all I can think of daily
Every time I stumble on a piece of great poetry
It feels like a piece of shit
What makes this writer different?
Be free from your own slavery
Be the ruler within you
Overcome your own worst critic – you
Love yourself again
Be kind to yourself
Don’t be hard against your own beautiful scars
They are the marks that make you a soldier!
You’re not a loser,
You’re a war survivor who overcame a storm
Don’t accept defeat, because I see peace within you
Only peace.

We really have a lot of war within us, we quest for the abiility to love ourselves more than anyone so we can see beyond our flaws. so we can see every challenge as a medium for growth.
Beautiful Moji
